1)Prop the gate wing to bring it to the
ideal position, place the wheel against
it, and mark the position of the top
fixing fin on the gate.

 

  

2)Drill and tap for the fixing
screws and fix the article to the
wing. You can also make a few
spot-welds for greater security
(recommended with heavy loads).
 

  

3)Remove the safety pin
or locking screw and the
prop from under the wing
so as to make the spring act.

 

  

4)Adjust the thrust using
a spanner (turn anticlockwise
to increase and clockwise to decrease)
until the gate is in the ideal position.
 

 

5)If you have to mate the two parts of a lock you can turn the adjustment screw until they correspond perfectly.

The model 202 jockey wheel has a load rating of 70kg and a vertical travel of 50mm. The fully galvanised steel body is filled with a 100mm solid rubber tyre. For safety purposes, the spring is totally enclosed.
