Since the turn of the millennium, rapid advances in technology have\u00a0seen traditional materials increasingly replaced with stronger,\u00a0longer-lasting\u00a0and easier to maintain alternatives.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s unlikely the humble timber fence\u00a0or<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>metal railings\u00a0<\/span>will ever disappear completely\u00a0\u2013 but now, it\u2019s got serious competition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

New man-made materials like WPC \u2013 wood-plastic composite \u2013 can deliver the timeless timber aesthetics that homeowners like so much, but without timber\u2019s many drawbacks.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where wood is susceptible to rotting and warping, WPC products are water-resistant. Where timber needs costly, time-consuming and regular maintenance, WPC products require virtually none \u2013 and what\u2019s more,\u00a0their\u00a0longer\u00a0life-span\u00a0mean\u00a0they\u00a0need replacing less\u00a0often, and\u00a0have\u00a0a smaller environmental impact as a result.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
