Stylish aluminium railing, balustrade & fencing

Marano® is the stylish and premium range of aluminium solutions from F.H.Brundle. Marano’s extensive range primarily consists of aluminium railings, fencing and balustrade systems designed to integrate perfectly into high-end outside spaces.

Crafted and engineered from quality aluminium, Marano fence boards and the Marano Integrated fencing system offer affordable, durable luxury for external perimeters. This range offers aesthetic solutions for outdoor living that compliments elegant, modern design and provides practicality, durability and sustainability.

The Marano railings range, consisting of Marano Simplicity and Marano Blade, introduces two systems capable of seamlessly working in most residential settings – premium aluminium powder coated in a black matte finish for timeless elegance. Whilst Simplicity offers affordable, simple style for gardens, patios and pools, Blade is a railing solution that provides differing levels of privacy alongside contemporary design.

Truly versatile handrail/balustrade systems are hard to come by, but Marano Curve and Marano Edge are a rare and practical find. Combining the qualities of anodised aluminium and the strength of tempered glass, both post-and-glass balustrade systems can be utilised in almost all residential settings and some commercial; both systems are tested to 0.74kN at 1.2m post centres.

Why aluminium?

More and more property developers, landscapers and homeowners are turning towards aluminium as a viable material. The benefits to aluminium as a material are multiple;

Property Aluminium Steel / Stainless Steel (SS) Composites / Plastics
Weight Lightweight – easy to handle, cut and install. Heavy – more requires more labour and more difficult to cut. Lightweight – easy to handle, cut and install.
Durability Long-lasting – high corrosion resistance. Low maintenance. Durable – when coated correctly has good corrosion resistance. 316 grade SS also has great corrosion resistance. Modest durability – susceptible to rot and water damage if uncapped.
Workability Easy – simple to cut, drill, glue and handle. Moderate – harder to cut and drill, weldable, but heavy and requires substantial coating (if not SS). Moderate – easy to cut, drill and handle, but susceptible to splitting/splintering.
Reliability Very reliable – resistant to high heats, structurally robust, very low expansion and warping. Reliable – less resistant to heat that aluminium, structurally sound. Won’t warp. OK reliability – more susceptible to heat and water (especially if uncapped). Larger expansion potential.
Sustainability  Good sustainability credentials – uses recycled materials and 100% recyclable. OK sustainability – more energy intensive to recycle and produce. OK sustainability credentials – often made from majority recycled materials. Can be recycled, but is challenging.
Affordability Relatively low cost. Higher costs – stainless steel more so than mild steel. Lower cost.

Frequently asked questions:

Is Marano Aluminium Fencing recyclable?2025-10-01T15:17:23+01:00

Marano is 100% recyclable and will last for many years, and should you decide to replace your aluminium fencing, you can rest assured that your carbon footprint will remain low.

How do I take care of my aluminium fence?2025-10-01T15:10:22+01:00

Aluminium fences do not require the constant care and maintenance you’d expect from some traditional types of fences, like wood.

However, in order to maintain the look of your fence, we recommend that it is occasionally cleaned by rinsing with water from bottom to top and back bottom. This will clean the surface on the way up and prevent the collection of dirty “run down” and possible streaking. Air dry or wipe with a soft, lint free cloth.

Can I cut the aluminium slats?2025-10-01T15:09:53+01:00

Aluminium slats can be cut using a fine tooth aluminium saw with a clean, sharp blade.

How easy is it to install Marano Aluminium Fencing?2025-10-01T15:09:35+01:00

Marano fencing allows you to create unique ultra-modern styles. Our Stripe & Elements systems are extremely easy to assemble, using either a slotted or a tongue and groove method. Our Convex system is assembled by screwing the slats directly to the posts, whilst our Breeze kit is designed to suit 1.2m & 1.8m high fences, creating a 2353mm wide fence. Marano fencing can be fitted with an easy to install slatted kit system that can be easily and discreetly fixed to steel posts.

Is it the same posts for the entire system?2025-10-01T15:00:54+01:00

Yes, the posts are modular and adapt to all the different Marano Integrated fencing systems.
