Estate fencing when used as intended, does not need to conform to any British building regulations. However, estate fencing should not be used as fall protection on drops of 600mm (2ft) or more, this is because of the cross-bar structure, which can act as ladder rungs. Therefore, estate fencing will not comply with part K building regulations.
