We offer our ready-made gate kits in four core designs from stock, in variable widths and heights. Every gate comes with a complete installation kit which includes hinges, locks, keeps and handles. Posts and wall-mounted posts are sold separately (as not always required). A full list of gates by height and width can be found below.
Fixing options for every scenario
Ready-made aluminium gates from F.H.Brundle can be fixed in a number of ways depending on the opening. The primary fixing options (three in total) are designed to allow the installer maximum flexibility, whether you’re fixing to brick walls, concrete pillars or within a run of existing fencing – there is an easy way to incorporate one of these practical aluminium gates.
All Gate Kits include:
• 2x Standard wall hinges with plastic caps and M8 x 6mm bolts for fixing into brickwork.
• 1x Floor mounted hinge
• 6x Through bolts for fixing to brickwork and floor
• 1x Lock and handle kit
• 1x Full length keep and latch
Hinges can be appended direct to brick walls, pillars, and concrete posts.
If additional width is required or the wall is structurally susceptible, then a wall-mounted post can be used.
Gate posts can be used where no wall or pillar is present. These are available as bolt-down or concrete-in variants and colour matched.
Gates configurations are adaptable to all variables – each gate kit comes with the requisite hinges for either mounting the post, at the bottom, to wall, post or event the substrate.

Optional aluminium posts
Aluminium gate posts are optional, but may be required if there is no structural wall, or post, on one or both sides of the gate opening. Select from either a full post or a wall mounted post. Wall mounted posts will be required if the wall is non-structural, not structurally sound, or if you need to reduce the width of the gate aperture. Full posts can be used for the same purposes, but should be installed when the gate is situated where no wall or pillar is present (e.g. in the middle of a run of fencing). Although aluminium gates are not particularly heavy (in comparison to steel or timber), they will still require adequate upright support. Both posts types are compatible with the provided gate keep.
Full Gate Posts
The full gate posts are available as either a concrete-in or a bolt-down options and in both Anthracite and Black finishes. Post dimensions 3.5mm thick walls; 2.4m posts – 100 x 100x 2400mm, 3.0m posts – 150 x 150 x 3000mm.
Concrete-in
Posts supplied in either 2.4m (for 1.8m high gates) or 3.0m (for 2m high gates) lengths. This allows for 1/3 of the post to be below ground level and concreted in. Both options available in Anthracite and Black finishes. Base plates are welded to the post and do not need to be removed before installation.
Bolt-down
For the bolt-down option, the posts are the same as the concrete-in option, the installer is then required to cut the post to the required height – removing the desired amount of post from the top. Base Plates: 100mm post – 130 x 180mm, 15mm fixing holes. 150mm post – 180 x 230mm, 15mm fixing holes.
Post caps are sold separately.
Wall-mounted Gate Posts
Wall mounted posts can also be converted into a hinge or keep post. These posts are supplied with a (removable) baseplate, so can be bolted down, concreted in, or attached the wall where required. Post dimensions 80 x 50 x 2000mm or 80 x 50 x 2400mm.
• Posts can be used as concrete-in or bolt-down. If you require bolt-down posts, please cut the top of the post to suit the required gate height.
• 2400mm posts are suitable for 2000mm high gates.
• Allow an additional 100mm height to the gate post compared to the gate height required. To allow 50mm top & bottom of the gate for fitting hinges.
