The smarter, faster way to lay perfectly level decking, paving, and flooring on any surface.

Whether you’re laying a roof terrace or a garden deck, getting a perfectly level surface on uneven ground has always been the hard part.

F.H.Brundle’s new adjustable pedestal system takes the guesswork out of raised deck and paving installations. With just four core components, you can achieve a level, stable surface at heights from as low as 10mm (cradle) right up to 975mm – and on slopes of up to ±5°, thanks to a clever self-levelling head. Also known as decking risers or decking feet, our adjustable pedestals are suitable for use with porcelain tiles, timber joists, and aluminium framing.

Whether you’re a seasoned contractor working on a commercial roof terrace or a homeowner tackling a garden renovation, this system is designed to make your life easier.

What makes it different?

The secret is in the design. A unique ball-and-socket floating head allows for self-levelling/slope correction on tapered roofs or uneven ground when adding your chosen self-levelling head, and the adjustable thread provides millimetre-perfect adjustability across a large height range, making for a speedy and straightforward installation.

Four components. Endless possibilities.

The system’s real genius is its simplicity. Using just four components, you can cover a huge range of heights – and if you need to go even higher, simply add the 220mm extender to reach up to 975mm. There’s also a 35mm extension pad that’s stackable up to four high.

Connecting Rod & Collar

When installations reach 800mm or more, it is advisable to link the pedestals together using the big fix collar and connecting rods to ensure extra stability where you need it most.

Where can you use it?

The pedestal system is compatible with timber, aluminium, and composite joist systems, and works on virtually any substrate. Typical pedestal spacing is every 400–600mm along the joists, depending on your decking system.

Ideal applications

  • Raised decking installations
  • Balcony decking systems (under 11m)
  • Roof terrace decks (under 11m)
  • Commercial outdoor spaces
  • Garden decking structures

Drainage holes in the base allow water to escape freely, and the pedestal can also be fixed directly to the substrate where needed. Pedestals can even be cut flush to a straight edge, as they have a cutting guide on the base to ensure a clean straight edge if your installation is against a wall, or if you require a fascia on one side.

Porcelain Tiles

This self-levelling bearer support head for use with porcelain tiles has been designed to be used in conjunction with our decking support feet/pedestals.

Simply remove the tabs as required for the number of tiles being used. The tabs will ensure even spaces of 10mm between each tile. Tabs are 4mm thickness.

The adjustment key tool can be used to adjust the pedestals after the tiles have been laid to make sure there is a level finish without the need of removing and replacing heavy tiles.

Faster to install

Traditional subframe construction is time-consuming and unforgiving. With adjustable pedestals, there’s no concrete, no packing, and no coming back to fix height errors. The system is designed for ease and speed – and the results speak for themselves.

Better airflow and drainage beneath the deck also mean a longer lifespan for your decking boards, reducing maintenance costs and keeping the installation looking great for years.
