A smarter way to build a deck

For this residential swimming pool project, Outdure® QwickBuild® aluminium deck framing was used to create the supporting structure for composite decking around the pool.

Step 1: Preparing the space

The project began with the excavation of the garden to accommodate the swimming pool and prepare the surrounding area for the new decking.

With the pool positioned within a defined space bordered by retaining walls and an existing paved patio, the surrounding deck needed to be carefully planned. The framing would have to accommodate the pool’s layout while creating a suitable base for the composite decking and a neat transition to the existing outdoor space.
