Straightcurve Zero-Flex Planter Box panels are all suited to making lasting, perfectly straight unmovable lines courtesy of the boxy top and grounding feet. Our range of quick-connect planter kits are available in square 400 x 400mm, 600 x 600mm, 800 x 800mm, and rectangular kits 400 x 1000mm. The Weathering Steel Finish
The manufacturing process of weathering steel will leave the surface in a dark, almost black state. The weathering process sees this layer break down first before the desired protective patina layer can establish.
Once installed, wash with warm soap and water to remove the protective coating and encourage development of an even patina – this may take weeks or months depending on weather conditions.
The change of colour occurs because of the natural process of patina formation upon the surface giving it the timeless rusty look. This process is a result of exposure to the elements; in particular, moisture and air. It’s difficult to predict the pace of this colouration as it depends on various local circumstances and the season of installation. In more humid conditions or wetter seasons, you can see a change occurring within days and weeks, though it can still take months for a solid even patina to develop.
