Q: Can you reduce the gaps between bars on Estate Fencing?

Yes, you can reduce the gaps between the horizontal bars on our traditional five-bar system. This can be achieved with the addition of a wire rope and eye-bolt combination fitted to pre-drilled holes, essentially reducing the gap between bars by half (see diagram below).

Q: Is Estate Fencing building regulation compliant?

Estate fencing when used as intended, does not need to conform to any British building regulations. However, estate fencing should not be used as fall protection on drops of 600mm (2ft) or more, this is because of the cross-bar structure, which can act as ladder rungs. Therefore, estate fencing will not comply with part K building regulations.

Q: Is GRP safe to use in electrical environments?

Yes, GRP is non-conductive and acts as both an electrical and thermal insulator. This prevents shock hazards and makes it ideal for electrical substations, railway environments, and any location where electrical safety is critical. Unlike metal alternatives, GRP eliminates the risk of electrical cross-over accidents.
