Roof Edge Protection Systems
Quick System Overview
Defender is the most versatile for traditional roof types (asphalt, coated steel, concrete) and is the only one with a bolt-on template facility for HSG 33 roof work safety compliance, plus TUV certified for added assurance. Suitable for flat or nearly flat roofs up to 3 degree pitch.
Foldshield® is ideal where aesthetics matter – it folds flat when not in use and can be raised/lowered in sections. The recycled PVC feet mean no roof membrane penetration, making it good for retrofit situations. Designed for use on slopes up to 10 degrees.
Topfix is the specialist choice for metal roofs – the only system designed for standing seam and trapezoidal profile panels, with watertight fixings and a wide range of fixing centres. Fewer site visits are needed thanks to a simpler specification. Suitable for metal profile and standing seam roofs up to 45 degree pitch.
Ladder Kits
Quick System Overview
Original Ladder Kits (AX system) – A modular, bolt-together steel ladder system supplied flat-packed, designed for straightforward installation and general access needs in line with traditional UK standards. It’s best suited to commercial or industrial roof and plant access where budgets are tight, and compliance demands are relatively standard. Overall, it’s a cost-effective, reliable solution for simple, standard-duty applications.
European Ladder Kits (EX system) – An enhanced version of the original system, featuring slip-resistant, punched rungs with drainage and designed to meet stricter EU standards such as EN ISO 14122 and EN 131. Ideal for industrial or external environments where higher safety, durability, and compliance are required, especially in wet or contaminated conditions. This system is the more safety-focused, specification-driven upgrade.
GRP Ladder Kits (Glass Reinforced Plastic) – A modular ladder system made from non-metallic fibreglass, offering non-conductive, corrosion-resistant, and lightweight properties for long-term durability. It’s particularly suited to electrical, chemical, or coastal environments where steel would degrade or pose risks. This option is best for projects prioritising safety, low maintenance, and performance in harsh conditions.
