GRP Handrail

The GRP handrail range is a modular, yellow glass-reinforced plastic system designed for corrosive, chemical, and industrial environments where metal handrailing would corrode or conduct electricity. Lightweight, non-conductive, and maintenance-free, it is the preferred specification for offshore platforms, water treatment works, chemical plants, and food production facilities. The range covers two system types: a Round Handrail System using 50mm OD round tube with pre-drilled end posts, mid posts, and corner posts at 1,100mm finished handrail height, and a Square Handrail System using 51 x 51 x 6.3mm box section posts with a 76 x 50 x 5mm yellow GRP handrail profile in 5.8m lengths. Both systems use the same 50mm OD fitting types: 90-degree and 120-degree elbows, short and long tees, top rail and mid rail corners, mid rail crosses, railing flanges, base feet, side mountings, adjustable internal and external fix elbows, single and double adjustable fittings, and end caps. GRP mesh infill panels (1,172 x 462mm, 50 x 50 x 12mm mesh) and a 100 x 14mm yellow kick plate (5.8m length) are also available.
Tube is stocked in 50mm OD x 5.0mm x 5m lengths in yellow and in 38mm OD x 3.2mm x 5.8m in yellow RAL 1003. All fittings are secured with M6 x 50 grade 304 stainless fixing sets. The full range is stocked at F.H.Brundle's UK branches with free delivery on mainland orders over £150 ex VAT; further system details are available in the GRP handrailing product overview.
