These universal plastic battens have been designed to assist in the installation of your new subframe to facilitate top-down fixing for use with solid deck boards. These act in the same way as the double joist brackets to support board-ends, and can be inserted into the side of the joist/beam when you are running your surface parallel with the framing for additional support.
