Steel Sections
F.H.Brundle supplies one of the UK's most comprehensive ranges of structural steel sections and sheet metal for light steel construction, fabrication, and general building applications. The range covers mild steel box sections (RHS and SHS), steel tube (CHS), rolled steel angles (RSA/RSL), mild steel flat bar, round bar, and square bar, through to universal columns (UC) and universal beams (UB/RSJ) for structural applications. Sheet metal products include cold-reduced steel sheets, hot-dip galvanised steel sheets to BS EN 10346, and steel plates in a range of thicknesses.
All steel sections are supplied in grades S275 and S355 to BS EN 10025, with reinforcing bar available in grade 500B to BS 4449. S355 offers a minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm², making it the standard choice for structural steelwork; S275 is widely used for general fabrication and lighter construction applications. Test certificates are available on request for all structural grades.
F.H.Brundle's cut-to-size service allows sections to be cut to customer-specified lengths, removing the need to purchase full stock lengths where project requirements demand specific dimensions.
